================================ Feedback - Freedom Not Fear 2013 ================================ from michael (includig things as far as i noticed at our feedback round): ------------------------------------------------------------------------- negative: still a "german" thing no key to use the backyard (info: i've talked with mundo b - rules might be changed for us) positive: good location we counted 14 different nations beneath ours keynote on friday evening - we should maintain this constructive and concentrated sessions having a common walk through brussels :) open privacy slot, being able to participate without registration fnf is free of fees and free of the need for application/registration neutral: lots of "first times" again recommendations: maybe invite some people for weekend (but not easy, as mep's are out of brussels then - some others said, that do not like to mix lobbyism, keep it only on monday) maybe use only one day for networking, other day for thematical sessions? filling more slots within the wiki-timetable in time to make fnf more attractive for newbies maybe paying more money to have the cafeteria be ready for use by us more people from other countries do not shorten the length of sessions, at least 2 or 1.5 hours personal notes: producing too much garbage not enough "taking care of" by some more transparency needed, maybe by improving plenaries system maybe a simple easy microfon system for plenary maybe more cross-subject slots (less technics, less politics, giving input by "crazy" inspiring slots - films, audios, "making" art, getting interactive) __________________________________________________________________________________________________ from anna: I found it was a pity that we could not talk to MEPs that are on the "enemy" side or those who can be influenced by information. Although it is hard to get those for a meeting, trying again for next year would be worth it. Another suggestion is that we make a list before the event resp. directly before the starting plenary with names and topics people are interested in as well as areas they want to work in. It is difficult to talk to everyone to get this information explicitly. But if there is information the John Doe is experienced in net neutrality and has expertise in producing artwork I could definitely talk to him if I need someone to support my hypothetical net neutrality campaign if I need some nice materials - even after the event. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ from Tobias: positive: lots of interesting people I liked the walk NSA inquiry !!! negative: as usual, not enough time (but I think I couldn't manage to get much more) haven't spoken to everyone missed a lot of interesting slots due to slot-conflicts german parlament slot !!! 5-15 minutes break after a slot, to talk to the MEP recommendations: maybe invite some MEPs,assistants or other people to join us during an afternoon and the London calling (for easier contact) keep in touch
