The Action day in autumn 2008
On 11. October 2008 we call for a Europe-wide action day in as many European capital cities as possible to demonstrate against the total retention of telecommunication data and other instruments of surveillance. We would like to recall the remembrance of the historical achievement of civil rights and liberties as a heritage of the Age of Enlightenment and to support the trust in security in our free society.

Action planning
Take responsibility yourself for the co-ordination and organisation in your city! If you need help: Contact the press office or send an email to kontakt[at]vorratsdatenspeicherung.de. We will arrange contact information for other people and/or organisations, as well as NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) in your town. Please refrain from merging enire regions - We can be effective by starting as many small actions in as many places as possible.
Note: One person responsible should be named with contact details on every city page to ease organisation and press relation. Those people should also sign up at national contacts for the press. Thank you! For coordination and media relations in Berlin the press office is available ( where you can also find templates to contact supporters and media). There should be one responsible contact for media work for every city entered here (national contacts). Also, there are always people of the AK Vorrat to be found in the chat to help.
