Saturday, 17.9.2011 - Day of protesting

Inhaltsverzeichnis

Day of protest

We do not like to accept the practical reduction of fundamental rights anymore and we want to tell that to the responsibles in brussels - friendly, peaceful but definite, destinct and perseveringly also.

Therefore we will have a small walk through Brussels at saturday in order to spread our concerns and knowledghe about what's going on.

When?

Saturday, 17.9.2011

Starting time: 2pm

Expected end: sometime between 5pm and 6pm

Where?

We are starting at Place Louxemburg (Houses of European Parliament). Having an intermediate stop at Place Schumann (European Commission and European Council) we will promenade/walk/protest towards the Grande Place in the city of Brussels.

Saturday-of-protesting - route

The route at googlemaps.

Total length of the route: almost 5 kilometres

There is also a proposal for plan B: Google maps

(Former proposals had been this and that.)

Saturday evening

We are thinking of offering a meeting place for those ones who like to spend the evening after the protest together. More informations will follow.

Important Informations

Basics

We like to bring our concerns to politicians and public.

Therefore it could be useful if you bring anything with you to show, what our protest is about. Signs, banners, flags, cctv-dummies, clothing, costums or anything else might help.

But please: Do not use flags or signs of political parties, that do not contain any (more or less senseful) substantial message.

It's up to you if you like to shout, cry, sing, hug or remain in silence at all. Feel free to do anything like that, but please respect the dignity of people passing by. Affronting or flaming doesn't help at all and ist not solidary.

Speeches

We invited some interesting people to join our protest, to give us some inside-informations and to find the right words for our concerns. People with connection to any political party are not allowed to speak.
