Many media representatives were present; the protest was supported by members of Bulgarian Parliament and of EU Parliament.

Vienna - At 1 pm, 15 activists performed a role play in front of the Parliament. They carried signs which pointed out consequences of surveillance and data retention. Subsequently there was a demonstration; later there will be another performance at Stephansplatz titled "presentation on identifying and tracing individuals" at the Museumsquartier at 6.30 pm.

Rome - A conference on Civil Rights and surveillance titled "Salvare i diritti civili, fermare l'escalation della sorveglianza" ("Save Civil Rights, stop escalation of surveillance") was held at the Palazzo Valentini. Many lawyers and politicians participated, among the speakers were the lawyer Stephano Aterno, member of EU parliament Marco Teduca and EU representative Marco Cappato.
