Copenhagen/Aarhus/Odense (Denmark) - 40 activists were handing out 500 anti-tracking software CDs from 12 pm on public squares of their respective cities. Skopje (Macedonia) - Working at the information desk, 50 voluntary have been handing out about 3000 flyers to interested citizens. Sofia (Bulgaria) - In front of the Bulgarian Parliament a peaceful demonstration was held with about 200 participants against Data Retention and for Digital Rights Protection in Bulgaria. Vienna (Austria) - At 1 pm, 15 activists performed a role play in front of the Parliament. They carried signs which pointed out consequences of surveillance and data retention. Rome (Italy) - A conference on Civil Rights and surveillance titled "Salvare i diritti civili, fermare l'escalation della sorveglianza" ("Save Civil Rights, stop escalation of surveillance") was held at the Palazzo Valentini. Many lawyers and politicians participated, among the speakers were the lawyer Stephano Aterno, member of EU parliament Marco Teduca and EU representative Marco Cappato. --Newsflash 13:52, 11. Sofia (Bulgaria) - Start of demonstration for digital rights
At 11 am (local time) the demonstration started at the National Parliament. So far more than 100 people have gathered to demonstrate for a liberal Internet legislature in Bulgaria and to protest against data retention. Berlin - Preparations for the great demonstration have finished already.
