Data Retention and Digital Rights Protection in Bulgaria
A public debate in Bulgaria on the controversial issues of Regulation number 40 issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State agency for information technology and communications, obliging mobile operators and Internet providers to retain data of digital messages. Through the project debate, which would include representatives of all involved parties – the government, the business, law-makers, as well as individuals – we'll try to suggest changes in the Regulation and make sure Bulgaria keeps its liberal Internet legislature. For more information ISOC-Bulgaria or foss @ isoc.bg (More information will be available in the second week of September).
