In Italy there were no demonstrations planned but, as announced, a press conference in the lower chamber of parliement, and a conference held in the Rome municipality.

Two Italian representatives, Marco Perduca (PD, high chamber) and Marco Cappato (RnP, european) participate to both event.

The conference theme was the Italian law on mandatory Data Retention (Decreto Pisanu) and the law proposal against Data Retention by PWS that was re-instatiated at the lower chamber.
