Join us: Freedom not Fear 2012 in Brussels European policy making is affecting our every day lives and civil liberties more and more. The EU is increasingly imposing unnecessary and disproportionate governmental surveillance measures on us. We are not willing not to take this any longer. Therefore we invite you to join us for about three days of discussions networking protest meetings with politicians Issues "Freedom not fear 2012 - Defending fundamental rights in our networked world" We say NO to data retention and PNR and we call for immediate measures and regulation of net neutrality. Structure We would like to offer time & space to exchange thoughts and concerns directly. As we believe, networking beyond borders is becoming more and more important, therefore this "event" shall give oportunity to get citizen initiatives from different countries together. We will thus have four days of "Freedom not fear" in Brussels: 14.9.2012 (Friday): Arriving, first meeting 15.9.2012 (Saturday): Slots of networking, lectures and talks in the morning, protest/demonstration in the afternoon 16.9.2012 (Sunday): Slots of networking, lectures and talks 17.9.2012 (Monday): Meetings with politicians (self-organized) Friday - 14.9.2012 Saturday - 15.9.2012 Sunday - 16.9.2012 Monday - 17.9.2012 Side events Traveling and accomodation We collected some informations to make getting to Brussels easier and to find some cheap accomodations. Generally, accomodation has to be organized autonomously. But don't hesitate to ask in case of any problem with that.
